Enjoy everything that Point Pelee National Park, Leamington and the North Shore of Lake Erie have to offer.
Point Pelee National Park
Canada's 2nd smallest national park is packed with things to do. Stand on the most southern part of Canada at "The Tip" where the point stretches out into Lake Erie. In spring the park is Canada's premier birdwatching destination. Walk or bike the many trails. Kayak or canoe the ponds, marshes and lake. Enjoy the beaches and sunsets from the western beaches or explore the isolated shores of the East Barrier Beach.
The Tip
For many, the constantly changing tip is the highlight of their park visit.
Birding
Every May the Festival of Birds brings thousands of bird enthusiasts to the park for the spring migration.
Beaches
The west beaches have parking and facilities while the isolated east beaches are only accessible by a trail from the Visitor Centre.
Trails
The park has several trails for hiking or biking. The Marsh Boardwalk (above) is great for viewing wildlife.
Pelee Island
For a relaxing day trip, take the ferry from Leamington or Kingsville for the 90 minute journey to Pelee Island. Explore the island by car or bike and visit the Pelee Island Winery.
Take your vehicle or bike on the ferry and spend the day exploring the island.
Wineries
Located on the same latitude as the wineries of southern France and Tuscany, Italy, the North Shore of Lake Erie is home to over 15 estate wineries. Spend a day wine touring the beautiful countryside with tasting & dining.
